Welcome to Our Father's Chat

Faith is stronger when people come together

We have an excellent system to make sure that our God Squad follows your church or ministry's preferences.

We have an onboarding process that allows us to get to know the ins and outs of what you want to say. We ask for specific words and phrases you prefer to use when ministering to people. These become hot keys for our agents. During a chat, for instance, a visitor might mention that they feel depressed. The hot key system will prompt us to click into your private hot key file and pull up exactly what you would like us to say in response -- and all of this happens in a matter of seconds as we type our conversation with your website visitor. Connect the Dots

Connecting is an elusive buzz word in the church these days. We need to connect with our people. We need to connect with our leadership. We need to connect with our community, with our teenagers, with our children, with our world! And all of these statements are true. It’s just that most of our conversations around this idea don’t produce plans to connect effectively. How do we make those contacts in such a way that real links are established and become strong, healthy relationships?

In the past, it was enough to schedule as many events as your church calendar could handle and make sure that people were connecting with their church and with each other. If the pastor announced it, folks would come to the class, bible study, or potluck and make all sorts of connections, including bringing new friends. If you scheduled it, they would come! (Yes, that is a Field of Dreams reference.)

So how big is your but?!

It’s kind of funny how we go through life as church leaders, hearing about all of the Big Buts in peoples’ lives. “But if only my wife was nicer to me, I could be a better husband.” “If my boss would treat me better, I would work harder.” “But I have always been a good person, so why won’t God give me what I want?” It is often with the best of intentions that our volunteers, group leaders, and members show us their buts. Through all of the counseling sessions and all of the coffee appointments, we are confronted with people’s Big Buts so often that

Our Father’s Chat can help you serve your ministry or congregation better and still have time for the rest God wants for you. So let’s get your own Big But out of the way, shall we? The fact is, we like Big Buts and we cannot lie (and you won’t be able to deny)!

How it Works

Faith is stronger when people come together

Our Father's Chat was born from and formed under the umbrella of Today's Digital Solutions, International. Over the course of the last 11 years, we have provided live chat services for millions of people in varied industries. If your church has a website, live chat is a valid choice in assisting you with your parishioners, schools, and activities. It's like being available to your congregation, community, and the world 24/7/365 with no barriers. It's all digital.

Chat services show up in two ways on your website. First, there is a link the visitor can click to ask questions about services, items on the website, directions to locations, hours of service, ministries, and businesses within the church – any question the visitor may have. Secondly, while the visitor browses through your website, a chat box will appear asking if they would like assistance. Both of these chat boxes will be customized for your business or organization, keeping continuity in the look and feel of your website. Don't forget to check out our FAQs.

  • It's 2:00 in the morning and I can't sleep. Every time I try to relax and drift off the questions swirl back through my mind. These are questions I have been wrestling with for years. I know something is missing but I can't put my finger on it. I have a very specific belief system. If I open my mind and heart to something new, will I lose everything I've always believed? How do you talk to God? How do you know that God talks to you? Why do I feel like I only need to talk to him when I'm broken? And foremost in my mind, how do I get the answers to these questions without someone thinking I'm not smart enough to figure it out for myself?

I was raised in Chicago, Illinois in a conservative Jewish family. I am third generation Russian American and, even though English is my first language, I spoke Yiddish with my grandparents as a child. My childhood years were rich in the history, tradition, and values of Judaism. To this day, I am very proud of my Jewish heritage. But later into adulthood, I recognized that there was something missing. I spent many years visiting various churches, religions, Bible studies, and doing research, all of which were attempts to logically solve a sense of need and loss that I just couldn't shake. Eventually, I did figure out what was missing – Jesus Christ.

New Life Fellowship has been honored to form a relationship with the Our Father’s Chat team in reaching our community. I firmly believe that live chat is the future of New Life Fellowship’s service to our city. God has given our ministry team a mandate to open our arms wider to those he brings to us, and Our Father’s Chat has given us more options to do just that.

I have to admit that I didn’t understand exactly how live chat would fit into the vision and core values of New Life Fellowship when Marla first approached us. I had many questions about how a group of chat agents could possibly be an extension of who we are as a church family. How would they know how to say what we say? As it turns out, that was the beauty of the relationship between New Life Fellowship and Our Father’s Chat.
