We have an onboarding process that allows us to get to know the ins and outs of what you want to say. We ask for specific words and phrases you prefer to use when ministering to people. These become hot keys for our agents. During a chat, for instance, a visitor might mention that they feel depressed. The hot key system will prompt us to click into your private hot key file and pull up exactly what you would like us to say in response -- and all of this happens in a matter of seconds as we type our conversation with your website visitor. It’s kind of funny how we go through life as church leaders, hearing about all of the Big Buts in peoples’ lives. “But if only my wife was nicer to me, I could be a better husband.” “If my boss would treat me better, I would work harder.” “But I have always been a good person, so why won’t God give me what I want?” It is often with the best of intentions that our volunteers, group leaders, and members show us their buts. Through all of the counseling sessions and all of the coffee appointments, we are confronted with people’s Big Buts so often that
Our Father’s Chat can help you serve your ministry or congregation better and still have time for the rest God wants for you. So let’s get your own Big But out of the way, shall we? The fact is, we like Big Buts and we cannot lie (and you won’t be able to deny)!Read more
Our Father's Chat was born from and formed under the umbrella of Today's Digital Solutions, International. Over the course of the last 11 years, we have provided live chat services for millions of people in varied industries. If your church has a website, live chat is a valid choice in assisting you with your parishioners, schools, and activities. It's like being available to your congregation, community, and the world 24/7/365 with no barriers. It's all digital.
Chat services show up in two ways on your website. First, there is a link the visitor can click to ask questions about services, items on the website, directions to locations, hours of service, ministries, and businesses within the church – any question the visitor may have. Secondly, while the visitor browses through your website, a chat box will appear asking if they would like assistance. Both of these chat boxes will be customized for your business or organization, keeping continuity in the look and feel of your website. Don't forget to check out our FAQs.Read More
It's 2:00 in the morning and I can't sleep. Every time I try to relax and drift off the questions swirl back through my mind. These are questions I have been wrestling with for years. I know something is missing but I can't put my finger on it. I have a very specific belief system. If I open my mind and heart to something new, will I lose everything I've always believed? How do you talk to God? How do you know that God talks to you? Why do I feel like I only need to talk to him when I'm broken? And foremost in my mind, how do I get the answers to these questions without someone thinking I'm not smart enough to figure it out for myself?
I was raised in Chicago, Illinois in a conservative Jewish family. I am third generation Russian American and, even though English is my first language, I spoke Yiddish with my grandparents as a child. My childhood years were rich in the history, tradition, and values of Judaism. To this day, I am very proud of my Jewish heritage. But later into adulthood, I recognized that there was something missing. I spent many years visiting various churches, religions, Bible studies, and doing research, all of which were attempts to logically solve a sense of need and loss that I just couldn't shake. Eventually, I did figure out what was missing – Jesus Christ.
